8. Camp Scott: The Unsolved Oklahoma Girl Scout Murders

Mayes County, Oklahoma — On a fateful morning in June 1977, the idyllic setting of Camp Scott turned into a nightmare. Three young Girl Scouts, aged 8 to 10, met a horrifying fate that would haunt the region for decades. Their lives were brutally cut short, their innocence shattered forever.

The victims’ bodies were discovered along a trail leading to the campsite’s showers—a mere 150 yards from their tent. The serene wilderness of Mayes County bore witness to this heinous act, leaving the community in shock and disbelief.

Gene Leroy Hart, a local jail escapee with a violent past, became the prime suspect. Authorities believed they had their man, and the case was officially marked as solved. But justice proved elusive. In March 1979, a jury unanimously declared Hart not guilty, leaving the victims’ families and the public in anguish.

Fast forward to 2022, and the case still haunts the collective memory. DNA testing, though inconclusive by official standards, points strongly to Hart’s involvement. The shadows of doubt and unanswered questions persist, casting a pall over the investigation.

As the years pass, the Oklahoma Girl Scout murders remain an open wound—a chilling reminder that justice isn’t always swift or certain. The whispers of the past echo through the pines, urging us never to forget the innocent lives lost at Camp Scott.

8. Colling's Castle: Oklahoma's Haunted Castle

Davis, Oklahoma — In the heart of Turner Falls Park, where the tranquil sounds of waterfalls blend with whispers of the past, stands Collings Castle—a stone structure that defies time and beckons the curious. The Boozy Bros, led by the intrepid Pablo Cordova, have set their sights on this enigmatic edifice, aiming to unravel its spectral secrets once and for all.

Built in the 1930s, Collings Castle was the private residence of Mr. Ellsworth Collings, a man whose legacy straddled academia and adventure. As the Dean of Education at the University of Oklahoma, Collings left an indelible mark on the minds of students. Yet, it was his castle—an architectural anomaly—that would capture imaginations for generations.

Collings Castle mirrors the design of European medieval fortresses: narrow windows, short doors, and low ceilings. Some speculate that necessity, born from the Great Depression, dictated these dimensions. Perched on a steep hillside, the castle’s walls rise only as high as labor and resources allowed. Within its stone walls, Collings indulged his passion for Western art and ranching, adorning every inch with relics of his interests.

But it’s the whispers of the supernatural that cling to Collings Castle. Visitors report eerie encounters: phantom footsteps echoing in empty chambers, glimpses of shadowy figures, and inexplicable cold spots. The castle’s history is woven with tales of spectral visitations, including a little girl ghost who playfully slaps the faces of unsuspecting guests.

Undeterred by legends, the Boozy Bros arrive armed with scientific rigor and technological prowess. Their mission: to debunk—or confirm—the haunted reputation of Collings Castle. Nightfall finds them within its ancient walls, cameras rolling, EVP recorders capturing whispers from beyond. Will they unravel the mysteries or add to the lore? As the moon rises over Collings Castle, the Boozy Bros tread where others fear to venture. Their quest transcends skepticism, embracing the possibility that realms beyond our understanding exist. Whether debunkers or believers, they honor the legacy of Ellsworth Collings—one man’s dream etched in stone and shadow.
